Here is a recap of my awesome weekend:
Friday: Worked my last day a Quizno's. Chilled around a home for a little bit trying to get someone to go to Madison with me, but that failed. Left around 5-5:30 to Madison for Anti-Mass 2. Got there and ate Chinese food waiting for it to start. Realicide, Selector Catalogue, Baseck, Amphetamine Virus, and Stagediver all killed it. Baseck was by far my favorite set of the night though. Using gameboys for the breaks and beats and scratching over that, great talent shown from him. Realicide was all I hoped for and then some, though it was only one dude and usually they play with at least two or more he still destroyed. The show got out at 2:30ish so I drove to the downtown area and parked in a neighborhood to sleep in the car.
Saturday: I woke up around quarter to eight and moved my car cause I was in a 2hr parking spot. It was the first football game of the season so there was no parking so I paid $15 for the day in a parking garage. I walked around for a while to get familiar with the area since it's been a while since I've been up there, and so I didn't forget how to get back to my car. I got breakfast at some coffee shop then walked to one of the student unions to do some homework cause nothing was open yet. After that I walked to Exclusive Co. and picked up the newest Rob Crow lp and the Nighthawks lp for really cheap. After that I ate lunch and went to Earwax where I picked up some more stuff. Next I went to the south union and played a ton of DDR since it was only .50 to play. The pads kinda sucked but weren't completely unplayable so it wasn't too bad. Eight rounds later, sweaty and tired, I walked back to the other union to see if the directions for Schizophrenia were posted and they weren't yet. So I decided to go and do more homework, but as I walked by I checked out the bulletin board and saw a list of stuff happening around the campus that day. Conveniently the anime club was getting together right as I was checking out the list so I went to where they were at and hung out with them from 2-10. Watched tons of stuff and had a blast. The biggest highlight from that was they showed a hilarious fandub of Evangelion called Redeath. Once I left there I went to check the website for directions and ended up having to call the infoline for them. I ended up getting lost trying to get out of the downtown area cause I'm retarded. Finally got around the area close to 11:30 and parked a few blocks away because it was basically a rave in the back of a car shop, since it was in a spot like that it would have gotten shut down if there are a lot of cars parked near and around it. I didn't stay the whole time because that place was soo goddamn hot, muggy, and all around crappy. The people were alright and the music was great, but I couldn't stand being in there much longer so I left over an hour into Mark N's set, which was amazing BTW. Baseck also playing again that night but a collab with another dude on four turntables. That was also really awesome. The rest that I saw was just all breakcore stuff and after hearing so much I really wanted a change in pace. Left there sometime after 4 and just started heading to Milwaukee. Almost fell asleep driving so I just pulled over in some town and slept in the parking lot for a little while.
Sunday: Woke up around quarter to eight again and continued on to Milwaukee. Got in pretty early and just went to the Co-Op for breakfast. After that I went to Tom's and finally took a shower and changed clothes then went back to the Co-Op because they hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Spent most of the day driving around looking for yardsales and whatnot passed up a sweet tent, went thrifting, and got groceries. Later on we made spring rolls, then we walked over to the baseball field where there was some kickball happenin'. After that me and Dana went to go see Realicide, Climax Denial, Peter Woods, and some others. Another great show, Realicide killed it yet again and so did the others. There was also a traveling group from Milwaukee that do a play also did their show. It was alright, kinda boring at some parts though, not too bad overall. Finally to top of my weekend of loosing my mind, me, Jon, and TJ went to Landmark and played DDR for 2hrs. We also hunted wolves, sharks, and bats.
Today I started my new job at the rinkside arcade in the mall. Shit sucks and I hate it, but for now I'm not going to go into that.
